Cozumel, Q.R. — A tourist who arrived to the island from a cruise ship was rescued from the sea after he was seen having trouble in the water.
The incident happened in the southern part of this island in front of the El Cid hotel where he was rescued from the water in time and taken to a private hospital where he was said to be in serious condition.
According to witnesses, the man arrived at a restaurant and after eating and having a few drinks, went swimming. However, within a few minutes, he began to have problems and was helped by lifeguards who managed to get him out of the water.
The man was unconscious with a weak pulse, so he was taken in an ambulance to a private clinic where he was said to be in serious condition.
