Cozumel, Q.R. — Cozumel police detained a Belarus man Monday after he was seen smoking weed on his motorcycle. The 27-year-old was arrested by island officers when they noticed him parked on a curb in the southern part of the island.
According to Cozumel Police, “during crime prevention tours on the southern part of the island, elements of the Public Security Directorate noticed, at the height of the torment curve in the beach area, a male who was sitting on a motorcycle smoking.
“When agents approached, they perceived that the smell of the cigarette was characteristic of marijuana, so they notified him that he was committing an offense.”
During his arrest, police also found rolled joints and a sealed jar containing additional marijuana. Detained was 27-year-old L.Z. from Minsk.
