Cozumel, Q.R. — Speeding and a lack of caution have been said the main cause of an accident that claimed a driver’s leg. A crash between a Cozumel taxi and motorcycle driver left two on the bike injured.
One of the two men lost part of a leg. The accident happened Monday morning on the southern coastal road of the island. According to early reports, the speeding motorcycle took a turn and suddenly appeared in the path of the taxi, who was unable to stop in time.
Both vehicles collided. Both men were thrown from the bike. One of the two men on the bike suffered a crushed calf. Accident witnesses called 911. The pair from the bike were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
