Cancun, Q.R. — Two men have been secured by Cancun police after a bank robbery Friday. The pair, who were caught on security surveillance cameras, were captured shortly after making off with 1.2 million peso in cash.
The robbery happened in the parking lot of Multi Plaza Kabah, where armed subjects stripped the cash from a man who had just left a bank branch. Although the perpetrators managed to escape, various security cameras captured them, allowing police to located two. One of the two arrested was found carrying a loaded gun believed used in the heist.
The thieves arrived and fled in two separate vehicles. Two other accomplices are said to be at large.
