Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun motorcycle driver has died after colliding with a bus. The accident happened early Thursday night at a city center intersection.
City police were called to the 8:00 p.m. scene at the intersection of Chichén Itzá and Palenque Avenues in SM 62. There, they found the bus and motorcycle and witnesses alleging the driver of the bus failed to stop at the marked intersection.
In failing to stop, the motorcycle driver, approaching on a cross road, crashed into the large bus, throwing the driver from his bike and onto the pavement where he was pronounced dead by paramedics. Transit officers arrested bus driver J.P. from the scene.
