Cancun, Q.R. — A man died after being shot numerous times on a Cancun street late Sunday. Residents reported seeing a man in SM 203 laying on a road to emergency services.
Municipal police followed up on the report, locating a deceased adult male laying on a public road. He had been shot numerous times.
Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office collected evidence before the body was transferred to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo). The man’s body was found laying faceup and without any identification.
Authorities are currently working on identifying the victim and locating his family. Area surveillance cameras are also being reviewed to determine those responsible.
