Olmeca, Tabasco — President Andrés Manuel López Obrador says that the Olmeca refinery in Dos Bocas will produce up to 340,000 barrels of crude oil per day by September 2023.
He made the announcement after a pre-holiday working tour of the facilities. The first stage of production, he said, will begin on July 1 after which time it will be possible to generate up to 170,000 barrels per day. As of September 15, it will double, he reported in a press release.
On Friday, AMLO was on site for test work at the facilities, which he says, were built in record time.
