Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Police were notified Friday by residents of Felipe Carrillo Puerto of the discovery of a burned out taxi. The unit was located pushed off a main dirt road into an area of trees accessed by a trail.
Responding officers were able to determine the burned cab belongs to a local driver who has been reported as missing. The Felipe Carrillo Puerto taxi driver was reported missing Tuesday. His burned out cab was found Friday.
The taxi was found on a road that leads to the Mayan community of Tabi. Municipal Police were the scene Friday morning. Authorities have not reported finding a body.
