Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — A small cargo truck was found on its roof Thursday along the Puerto Morelos highway. Firemen were at the scene of the single vehicle accident around noon in response to other motorist reports.
There, they located the small truck laying on its roof blocking a lane of traffic. The driver was heading toward Cancun when he overturned, smashing the front of his vehicle in the process.
Traffic was slowed in the northbound lanes while police and emergency services attended to the scene. Puerto Morelos firemen were first on scene, warning motorists of the Thursday afternoon accident.
“Caution, vehicle accident reported due to rollover on federal highway 307, lanes from Puerto Morelos to Cancun, passing through Bahía Petempich, emergency services on the way,” Bomberos Puerto Morelos posted on social media.
It is not known how the driver flipped his vehicle since the accident happened before the arrival of the heavy rains.
