Solidaridad Police investigating discovery of three bodies reported as missing persons

Riviera Maya, Q.R. — UPDATED: Solidaridad Police continue their investigation into the discovery of three bodies found Monday. Residents of the community of Nuevo Noh Bec in the municipality of Solidaridad made the discovery Monday evening.

The bodies of two men and one woman, reported to be of the same family, were found in a green area near the Campesinos Unidos invasion zone. The urban area is without cell service.

The call to emergency 9-1-1 was eventually made after residents who found the bodies around 6:30 p.m. returned to their homes. Solidaridad Police responded to the report, confirming three bodies upon their arrival later Monday night.

According to early information, the three adults, who were residents of the Solidaridad community of Vida y Esperanza, were reported as missing persons.

A police source said they had likely been killed several days ago. The Vida y Esperanza community is located approximately five kilometers west of federal highway 307 around Punta Maroma.

UPDATE October 30: The three people found dead have been identified. They were known to local authorities for a variety of criminal involvement. The bodies of 27 year old Ignicio “M”, 38 year old Rosario “C” and Miguel “N”, age unknown, were found dead Monday.

Ignacio “M”, from Guerrero, was known to police for drug and alcohol offences as well as charges for disturbing public order, mistreating a person, gang membership, fighting and driving under the influence of drugs, according to information issued by Plataforma México.

Rosario “C” from Yucatan and Miguel “N” were both known to local authorities for their involvement in narcotics. All there are believed to have been murdered three days before being discovered. Police have not issued a possible motive for the murders while they continue their search for those responsible.
