Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — A Puerto Morelos transport driver was shot to death Tuesday night. The targeted attack that left the man dead happened outside his home in the Joaquín Zetina Gazca neighborhood.
The 59-year-old man, who has been identified only by a nickname of El Chivo, was killed in a targeted shooting as he arrived home.
Neighbors along 50th Street reported the deadly attack to police. According to witnesses, the transport driver was shot by men traveling in a car.
Police and responding paramedics arrived, however, medical personnel were unable to do anything since he died before they arrived.
Puerto Morelos police continue their search for the vehicle involved described by witnesses.
