Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — An early morning accident along Ruta de los Cenotes sent a young pickup driver to hospital. On Tuesday, 25 year old Francisco Javier “N” rolled the pickup he was driving while traveling the popular roadway.
Both Municipal and Transit police were at the 6:00 a.m. scene at kilometer 250 of the Puerto Morelos route. The overturned truck was located near Cenote Verde Lucero. There, authorities also located two broken power poles.
The driver was taken to hospital by means of a private vehicle.
The owner of the truck, 43-year-old Luis Antonio “N”, was notified of the accident that involved his vehicle. Traffic was affected until just before 8:00 a.m. when the roadway was finally cleared. Speed is being blamed on the rollover.
