Jose Marie Morelos, Q.R. — Firemen deemed a car a write off after it caught fire in a single vehicle rollover. Its 42 year old driver was able to escape relatively unharmed. The accident happened just before noon Thursday on a section of Jose Maria Morelos highway.
The Mexico City driver, Nancy “N”, was heading toward the town of Jose Marie Morelos when she lost control on a corner and rolled her vehicle. While taking the corner, her front tire made contact with the soft shoulder, causing her car to overturn.
Passing motorists stopped to help get her out of the car before it completely caught fire. Emergency services located her burning car in the center of the two-lane highway. Due to the distance required to travel to the scene of the accident, the car was already engulfed in flames by the time firemen arrived.
Nancy “N” suffered a minor head injury that was considered non-life-threatening. She was taken to the municipal police station for medical attention.
