Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — A palapa home has been reduced to ash in the community of Señor. Firemen from the town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto drove the nearly 30 kilometers early Thursday morning to the town of Señor after being notified of the fire.
By the time they arrived, well after midnight, the small home had been completely consumed by flames. Firemen tasked themselves with making sure the fire was completely extinguished before leaving to ensure other nearby buildings would not be effected.
The home was unoccupied at the time. No injuries were reported. A cause remains unknown.
