Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The driver of a car that rolled onto its roof Tuesday was luck to walk away. Paramedics treated the male driver and his two passengers on the side of the highway after colliding with dump truck.
The late morning accident happened on a section of federal highway near the community of Chemuyil, approximately 40 kilometers south of Playa del Carmen. A total of three people were inside the car, none of whom suffered serious injuries.
Emergency services arrived to provide first aid to the injured, determining that they were not in need of a hospital transfer. All three suffered minor bruises and abrasions. National Guard Highways arrived to monitor traffic while the rolled car was towed and police determined the actual cause of the accident.
