Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — The ongoing discovery of drugs along the coast of Quintana Roo continues. On Tuesday, the Navy of Mexico reported finding two dozen packages of cocaine.
The bundled narcotics were located by citizens who made the report to local authorities. Patrolling Navy officials arrived at the site to verify the finding. A large packaged bundle was located washed up on a beach area near a Puerto Morelos hotel.
Once unwrapped, the bundle consisted of 24 bricks of cocaine. The total weight found amounted to just under 28 kilos. The packages were forwarded to the State Attorney General’s office in Cancun for integration into the ongoing investigation.
