Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun mayor Mara Lezama has announced the contribution of a virus diagnosis module which will be built in the parking lot of the Hospital General de Cancún Jesús Kumate Rodríguez.
“It is being analyzed by authorities of the General Hospital to define exactly what it will be used for, whether as a prior to entering the emergency department or the hospital. It is support for them to use according to their needs,” she indicated.
Lezama says the structure will be ready in four days and is part of the projects that are being carried out by the state government. She said this particular module is resistant to humidity, does not absorb odors and prevents the transmission of bacteria, among other characteristics.
“It is time to unite and make things happen and that is why we work 24/7 in the search to provide all possible tools to health professionals,” she said.
As of April 12, the municipality of Benito Juárez (Cancun) reported 166 positive cases with 8 COVID-19 related deaths.
