Cozumel, Q.R. — An island man who took advantage of a moto accident to steal a cell phone has been arrested. The arrest happened Sunday after an accident along Juarez Avenue.
Two tourists aboard a motorcycle lost control and fell off the bike. When landing on the avenue, their belongings spilled around them at which time a passerby took advantage of the situation, snagging a loose cell phone.
Some of the witnesses to the accident also witnessed the man make off with the phone. One of those people was the woman who owned the phone. He was followed.
Police were called and quickly arrested the unnamed man on Adolfo Rosado Salas street. The cell phone was returned to its owner.
