Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — Two combi passengers were transferred to Felipe Carrillo Puerto hospital after their van slammed into a dump truck. Paramedics were called to the scene by responding police during the Friday afternoon mishap.
The two vehicle clash happened in the town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto around 1:30 p.m. The combi and dump truck collided at the intersection of 81st and 50th Streets after, according to witness reports, the driver of the blue dump truck ran a stop sign.
In his failure to stop, the oncoming combi crashed into the truck, injuring two passengers. A man and a woman were taken to hospital. The woman is reported to have sustained the most serious injuries.

Both vehicles were taken to the police impound while responsibilities are being determined. The dump truck driver was arrested and transferred to a cell in Public Security for allegedly causing the accident. The public combi passenger van was totaled in the crash.
