Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Two dead and one critical was the result of a two vehicle Puerto Morelos crash Tuesday night. Firemen from Puerto Morelos were part of the first responders, arriving to the scene around 10:00 p.m. that involved a hatchback and a bus.

According to early information, the driver of the hatchback was pulling a highway U-turn when the vehicle was hit by an oncoming bus. The bus was traveling in the direction of Cancun when the accident happened.
Two people from inside the hatchback were killed. A third remains critical.

Bomberos Puerto Morelos, who attended the scene, reported Tuesday night “caution, tragic accident on federal highway 307, lanes from Puerto Morelos to Cancun, km 328, near Bahía Petempich, emergency services working.”

The highway collision left the hatchback completely destroyed. The crumpled vehicle was found on the side of the highway with the driver and front seat passenger dead. National Guard Highways directed traffic around the fatal accident site until emergency crews had a chance to clear the scene.
