Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — A Felipe Carrillo Puerto man was arrested after stealing a taxi and hitting two private vehicles. National Guard captured him after his 11:00 p.m. theft attempt left two neighborhood cars damaged.
He was caught by National Guard and handed over to the FGE after a brief foot chase.
The owner of the stolen cab requested help from fellow drivers after seeing someone drive off with his cab from outside the front of his home on 73rd Street. It was the taxi search that lead to the discovery of the stolen cab and two damaged cars.
The thief drove less than five blocks before crashing into two parked cars. He was captured during a foot chase on Lázaro Cárdenas Avenue.
