Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — A clash between rival gang members sent at least one to hospital and left a car riddled with bullet holes. The exchange of gunfire was reported around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto.
The wounded driver and his car were located near the junction of Tres Reyes on federal highway.
According to early information, the injured male was taken to the Felipe Carrillo Puerto General Hospital by ambulance in serious condition and later transferred to Playa del Carmen.
There are reports of three arrests by police who became aware of the bullet exchange between the two groups. Local authorities have not provided any official information on the shooting nor have they released a public statement.
