Cancun, Q.R. — Quintana Roo Police have reported the colission between one of its units and a private vehicle during the early morning hours of Friday.
In a informative release, police say a man, who identified himself as an element of the National Guard, was traveling along an avenue north of the city when he crashed into a police unit. According to police, the accident was registered around 1:30 a.m. in an intersection along Arco Vial.
In the report, it was specified that the private vehicle was carrying two people, one of which has been identified as Alberto V.F. who was transferred to the Jesús Kumate General Hospital in Cancun for injuries sustained in the collision. The second man in the vehicle has been identified as 35-year-old Ángel A.R.B., an officer of the National Guard.
In the expert report it was specified that the car hit the Municipal Police unit being driven by agent Juan C.A.L., 47 years old.
In their report, police specified that the person responsible for the collision was the driver of the private vehicle after he invaded the opposite traffic lane, colliding with the police truck.
