Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The capacity restrictions on the number of allowed shoppers inside some of the city’s supermarkets has created long lines around Playa del Carmen. With most large supermarkets allowing only 50 shoppers at a time, long queues have been forming.
In most locations, those wanting to enter the establishment must be outfitted with a mouth mask. Security personnel are responsible for the headcount of those entering, keeping in line with the one-person-per-family rule.
Many arrived not only to find a lineup, but also to be rejected since they were without a proper mouth mask.
