Riviera Maya, Q.R. — The driver of a company vehicle walked away from a highway accident that happened Monday afternoon. The driver of the truck was traveling toward the town of Tulum on the federal highway when a front tire burst.
Due to the speed in which the truck was traveling, the burst tire caused the truck to roll. The company vehicle was transporting a load of scrap metal at the time of the accident which happened several kilometers past Xpu-Ha.
No other vehicles were involved. A second company vehicle came to meet the driver who was treated after suffering only minor injuries. Police were notified of the highway crash. Authorities arrived to manage traffic while the truck was towed and debris cleared from the highway.
