Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — Solidaridad police were sent to an establishment Friday night after the report of a dead body. The body of a man was found wrapped in a plastic bag and left near the town’s entrance.
The person who found the body called 9-1-1 around midnight. Police were sent to verify the finding, which turned out to be that of an adult male. Beside the body was a handwritten threat message left likely by those responsible.
The large message was written on a white piece of cloth with references to state officials they accuse of working with cartel members, “taking payroll” and “giving them protection in the hotel zone”.
Authorities have not made any public comment on the deceased or the message left behind.
