Cancun, Q.R. — A man lost his life Monday morning when his motorcycle skidded while traveling on the Punta Sam highway in the direction of Cancun. Reports say wet pavement likely played a role in the accident.
The man, who had just left work at a hotel in Isla Blanca, lost control of his bike and crashed into the central ridge, leaving the roadway and ending up lying in a green area along the shoulder. Several emergency bodies arrived to try to help the victim identified as 25-year-old Roberto R., but unfortunately, he had died. He was pronounced on scene.
The accident site was secured by the traffic agents and elements of the National Guard while foresnic personnel carried out the removal of the body.
