Cozumel, Q.R. — Civil Protection personnel of Cozumel have placed business suspension seals on the Mahi-Mahi rental company after being notified of staff abusing customers.
The suspension came after store employees were allegedly caught on video physically assaulting two customers. The incident, which was caught on video by a passerby, took place December 31, where two people were physically assaulted by store employees for reasons unknown.
Héctor Mac Marín, director municipal de Protección Civil, said that the incident has only recently been brought to their attention and that they are still working on possible company penalties, noting that the suspension seals will be removed once the company updates its permits.
However, the Ayuntamiento de Cozumel said it will intervene with penalties for those involved.
