Cancun, Q.R. — A motorcycle police officer was left with injuries to his left leg after being hit by a Cancun taxi driver. The police officer, who is an element of the Escuadrón Motorizado de Acción Policial, was hit by the taxi driver after he failed to stop at a marked sign along avenida 20 de noviembre.
The Cancun police officer was responding to a call of firearm detonations in SM 232 when the accident happened. Paramedics arrived to transport the injured officer to hospital. Both the taxi and the police motorcycle were towed to the corralón.
