Tulum mayor-elect announces five more city council members

Tulum, Q.R. — Marciano Dzul Caamal, Tulum mayor-elect, has confirmed five more officials for the upcoming Tulum City Council in September.

Dzul Caamal says Antonio Miranda, lawyer, will be the next senior official as of September 30. Other appointments include Adán Quintanilla who will head Social Communication, Lorenzo Miranda who will be the next Director of Urban Development, Jorge Portilla Mánica who will serve as the general secretary of the City Council and Diego Castañón as municipal treasurer.

These appointments are in addition to those already announced.

The mayor-elect stated that one of the first actions that his municipal administration will undertake will be to harmonize the City Council with the new government plan they intend to present, adding that his administration will carry out an audit of the current City Council to inform citizens.

“My responsibility begins from the beginning of my government,” said Marciano Dzul.
