Two men shot to death in Puerto Morelos had a history of high-level crime activity

Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Two men shot to death inside an SUV over the weekend are said to have a history of high-level crime activity. The State Secretary of Public Security, Lucio Hernández Gutiérrez, says the pair were known for their crime activity, which included drug trafficking in Europe.

The official explained that in conjunction with the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), the search for those responsible for the murderers of the Puerto Morelos men continues, adding that the shooting could be a settling of accounts between rival groups.

On Saturday night, two men, one Mexican national and one American, were shot to death while traveling inside an SUV in Puerto Morelos. One of the men, Fernando N, had an outstanding arrest warrant in Europe for trafficking cocaine.
