The assault was videoed on May 25 of this year when the elderly victim arrived home in the Villas Morelos subdivision. There, Alexander “N” approached her and the two began to argue.

According to police, the woman “had problems for some time, because he lives next door to her and built a wall without respecting the boundaries of the victim’s property.”

Police said “allegedly, due to this situation, Alexander “N” punched the woman in the head, between her forehead and eye, causing her to bleed. She was helped by her son who was also assaulted by the accused and his companion Andys Luis “N”.

“As a result of these events, users shared a video on social media which led them to call on citizens to gather at the foreigner’s home to “lynch” him, but thanks to the timely intervention of the authorities, it was possible to prevent the protest from escalating,” police added.

Both men were taken into custody on warrants and are facing charges for “acts possibly constituting the crimes of injuries and threats, to the detriment of two victims.”

Authorities says that both Alexander “N” and Andys Luis “N” are Cuban nationals but citizens of Mexico.

Last week, a group of residents in a Cancun neighborhood gathered outside the home of a Cuban man after a Mexican delivery driver was bitten by his dog. When the driver confronted the Cuban man about the dog bite, the driver was assaulted.

That incident was also captured on video and uploaded to social media which resulted in a direct attack against the Cuban man’s home. Police arrived and escorted both the Cuban man and his wife from the house. They were found living in the country illegally and handed over to INM (immigration).
