Three federal officials test positive for Covid-19 at the same time

Mexico City, Mexico — Three of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s main men have announced they have tested positive for Covid-19. On Tuesday, the Secretary of the Navy, Rafael Ojeda, announced he has tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time.

“I share that as of today I will be working in isolation from home, after having tested positive for COVID-19,” he said on social media.

Also on Tuesday, Juan Antonio Ferrer, director of the Institute of Health for Well-being, also revealed he has tested positive for Covid-19. “I have mild symptoms and I will isolate myself according to medical recommendations,” he posted on his personal account.

On Saturday, the Undersecretary of Health, Hugo López-Gatell announced that he had tested positive for the virus. Through social media, he reported his symptoms as mild. “The antigen test was positive. I will be working from home, pending the vaccination strategy,” he wrote.
