Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Several people from inside a rolled vehicle in Puerto Morelos were transferred to hospital Sunday. Emergency services responded to motorist reports of the single vehicle afternoon accident along the federal highway.
Initial reports indicate that a gray Versa car was traveling along the Puerto Morelos highway near the area of Bahía Petempich when the car rolled.
Paramedics, firefighters, and Civil Protection personnel from the municipality of Puerto Morelos attended the scene.
According to available information, the driver of the car hit the central median and rolled before slamming into the base of a streetlight.
Drivers who passed by the scene reported the accident to 9-1-1.
Members of the National Guard Highways division were also part of the emergency service responders. Authorities did not provide an official cause for the crash. The condition of those from inside the car is unclear.
