Cancun, Q.R. — Municipal police were at the scene of what initially appears to have been a double murder. On Friday afternoon, authorities were called after a local resident found, what turned out to be, a dead man and woman.
The two adults were found laying on a dirt road on Naranjos Street in SM 313 a few blocks from the extension of La Luna.
The area resident who made the call reported seeing the body of one deceased person laying on the road. When police arrived, however, they found two dead bodies.
According to police reports, both victims were bound hand and foot. The woman, approximately 30 years old, had multiple injuries, while the man’s body, around 23 years old, was found inside a black garbage bag.
The area was cordoned off by the Municipal Police while forensics collected evidence and removed the bodies.
