Chetumal, Q.R. — A new head of Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM) for the state of Quintana Roo has been appointed. Government officials say Demetrio Aristeo Toabada has bee appointed the new delegate of the National Institute of Migration (INM) for Quintana Roo, replacing Ángel Ramirez Florescano.
The official appointment of Demetrio Aristeo Taboada will be made August 16, however, he is in Quintana Roo for the delivery-reception process of the agency.
Ángel Ramirez Florescano, the former delegate, is being investigated for alleged acts of corruption within the institute. He is being investigated for acts of corruption related to the trafficking of undocumented persons, the clandestine sale of foreigner stays and the delivery of identification badges to suspected criminals to operate inside the Cancun International Airport.
