Mexico City, Mexico — Mauricio “V” has been delivered to American authorities for his transfer back to the U.S. The Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) delivered Mauricio “V” to the American Government Wednesday from the Mexico City International Airport for transfer to Illinois to face fraud charges.
According to their report, Mauricio “V” was part of a group that established offices in Mexico making their victims believe that they were located in the United States.
The fraud consisted of deceiving timeshare owners by telling them they could help sell them in exchange for refundable fees, taxes and other expenses by requiring them to send electronic transfers.
The Government of Mexico granted the extradition of Mauricio “V” after his arrest in June 2022 in Zapopan, Jalisco.
