Cancun, Q.R. — A man who was shot Saturday in a residential shooting has died in hospital. The targeted shooting happened at a home on Piedra Volcánica Street in the Turquesa residential complex.
The 33 year old man was standing in front of his home on Saturday evening with his brother when they were fired upon. Cristian “N”, the man who died, was hit several times. He was rushed to hospital where he died early Sunday morning from a chest injury.
His brother, who was also taken to the General Hospital, suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the 6:30 p.m. attack.
Initial reports indicate that an unknown man on foot shot the victim while he was in front of his home before fleeing on a motorcycle with the help of an accomplice.
Neighbors reported the incident to police.
Responding officers scoured the area but were unable to locate those responsible.
