Cozumel, Q. R. — A young man died Tuesday outside his house after being shot twice. Island police were sent to the home after witness reports were made to 911.
Area residents reported hitmen arriving at the house on José María Morelos Street in broad daylight and opening fire, hitting 25-year-old Erick “L” twice and leaving him for dead. The hitmen arrived in a gray truck that Cozumel police later searched for but did not locate.
Neighbors said Erick “L” was outside getting ready to wash a company van when the truck pulled up and subjects from inside shot him.
