Former governor Borge linked to charges of illicit use of power

Chetumal, Q.R. — Additional charges have been formally brought against former Quintana Roo governor Roberto Borge. The prosecutor’s office announced it’s success in “a new connection to the process against Roberto N, former governor of the state, for the crime of illicit use of power in relation to folder 151/2017 ”.

The crime is said related to the subcontracting of air services to the parastatal company VIP Servicios Aéreos Executive SA de CV and the alleged diversion of 594 million pesos between 2011 and 2013.

The prosecutor’s office stressed that Borge will continue in federal prison in Ayala, in the State of Morelos.
