Cancun, Q.R. — The first of three mobile hospital units constructed to attend to patients affected by coronavirus is now ready. State Health Services say the provisional hospital will be operating from May 1 in an annex of the Jesús Kumate Rodríguez General Hospital of Cancun.
The Servicios de Salud del Estado (Sesa) reports the construction for the mobile unit began April 11, adding that the newly completed module will be the first filter detection for positive COVID-19 patients. From there, positive patients would begin with the “hospitalization” areas, which will serve around 250 people.
As of April 30, the state of Quintana Roo has recorded 788 positive cases of coronavirus of which 597 are in Cancun.
