Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Three men have been detained for the theft of furniture from the Secrets Silversands Hotel in Bahía Petempich. The trio were arrested after police saw them traveling along a roadway with a load of furniture in the midst of the health emergency.
The white pickup truck was stopped and inspected by elements of the municipal Secretariat of Public Security and Traffic of Puerto Morelos Wednesday afternoon. In the bed of the truck, they located furniture that they were able to confirm, had been stolen from the hotel.
Puerto Morelos police report the arrest of 27-year-old Fernando B.R., 26-year-old Eduardo M.M. and 30-year-old Ramiro Tonatiuh R.L. Authorities say all three originate from Puerto Morelos.
