Lázaro Cárdenas, Q.R. — Three vehicles were left extensively damaged during an early morning collision. The accident happened on a dark section of Ideal-Nuevo X-Can highway Friday.
Reports from the Municipal Traffic Directorate of Lázaro Cárdenas indicate that the three-vehicle crash happened near the Romina Ranch. Emergency bodies arrived to find three banged-up vehicles but no serious injuries.
According to witnesses, a local cargo truck was hit by a Pontiac SUV with Veracruz license plates. The impact from the first two caused a third vehicle to become involved. The third vehicle was from the state of Yucatan.
Police were collecting information at the scene while trying to sort out how the early morning accident happened.
Elements of the National Guard Highway Division and Municipal Police were at the scene. Paramedics were not called, however, tow trucks were required to removed the damaged vehicles.
