Holbox, Q.R. — Patrolling officers on the island of Holbox assisted a family in a medical emergency Friday afternoon. Police said they provided care and assisted the woman’s family after she was found seizing on a beach.

The incident took place Friday afternoon when patrolling officers came upon the situation. According to those already helping her, the woman began to have a seizure while on the beach.
Police reported providing initial care before assisting her family in transporting her to a nearby hospital. The medical condition of the woman is unknown, however, police did provide a brief statement.
“On every patrol, the safety and well-being of the public are our top priority. While conducting patrols along the beaches of Holbox Island, our officers immediately responded to a report of a woman who appeared to be suffering a seizure,” the SSC (Secretary of Citizen Security) reported.
“After providing initial care, they assisted her family in transporting her to the nearest clinic for medical attention.
“We reaffirm our commitment to acting with professionalism, approachability, and a dedication to service in order to look out for everyone.”
