Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — An accident on the federal highway in Felipe Carrillo Puerto has left one person dead. A second person remains in hospital following the weekend accident.
On Sunday, two people traveling on a motorcycle were involved in a single vehicle accident in Felipe Carrillo Puerto. Passing motorists stopped to help the pair, calling an ambulance to the scene.
Both were transferred to local hospitals were one is reported to have later died. That person has not been named.
National Guard highways attended to the scene of the accident which happened when the driver of the motorcycle veered off the highway. Police did not say if the deceased was the driver or passenger on the bike.
An official cause for the accident has not been determined.
