Cancun, Q.R. — A suspect accused of human trafficking in the form of prostitution has been officially charged. On Saturday, police said Cruz Armando “N” was charged with human trafficking in the form of prostitution of others and sexual exploitation.
According to initial investigations, Cruz Armando “N” worked as the manager of an illegal bar on 75th Street of Cancun. Police say it was there where he is accused of recruiting and enticing victims to accompany clients in exchange for money.
“In addition, the three victims were forced to provide sexual services. The establishment retained 50 percent of the profits obtained,” they reported.
Police say the judge ordered preventive detention for the duration of the judicial process.
