Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — As of February, nearly 95 percent of the families residing in the colonies of La Fe and Tierra Nueva have become regularized. The company Constructora Rural y Urbana del Sureste SA CV is part of the process of regularizing the 470 properties between the two colonies, providing those families with land titles.
In March 2018, the state government along with the municipality, signed an agreement to provide patrimony certainty to the inhabitants of the two colonies as part of the regularization process that had already begun in Puerto Morelos.
Efforts of municipal president Laura Fernández Piña has resulted in ownership with the provision of basic services from CFE and Aguakan, who have already introduced water lines into the area which are nearing completion.
The colonies are also set for the installation of public lighting, garrisons, sidewalks and streets.
