Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Families from the Colonia Nueva Generación in Puerto Morelos will see more than 450 meters of electric wiring in their community, providing electricity to those who live there.
Mayor Laura Fernández Piña says she made the request to the Federal Electricity Commission who has agreed to place 494 linear meters of overhead electric wiring with concrete poles, distribution transformers and connection walls for users.
“We will continue to reduce the backlog throughout the municipality, in a joint effort with the federal and state governments, to improve the quality of life of the population.
“Inhabitants of the Nueva Generación neighborhood had requested electricity service several months ago, and today, their voice has been heard.”
She explained that the electric work in Nueva Generación is in addition to two others carried out in the municipality with support of the CFE, which were the installation of LED lights along 1,880 meters of Margarita and Modesto Ruiz streets in the Leona Vicario delegation along with 8,129 meters of wiring for its users.
