Kantunilkín, Q.R. — Firemen were unable to save a clothing store that caught fire Wednesday. Firemen were called to a business in the town of Kantunilkín early Wednesday morning after reports were made to emergency services.
The fire was located inside a clothing store on the corner of 27 de Septiembre and José María Morelos. Firemen did their best to combat the fire, but were unable to save most of the store.
Neighbors reported seeing a thick column of smoke emanating from the building early Wednesday morning. Within minutes, the flames intensified and spread through the inside of the shop.
Firemen were able to stop the fire from spreading to adjoining businesses. There were no injuries reported.
According to their preliminary investigation, the fire appears to started from an electrial fault. The exact cause for the early morning blaze is still being looked into.
