Cancun, Q.R. — Authorities in Cancun are investigating the discovery of a headless man found laying in a public street Monday. Residents in Villas Otoch Paraíso called police after seeing the man laying between garbage cans Monday morning.
Authorities were notified of the finding shortly after 7:00 a.m. through an emergency 9-1-1 call. Police arrived on Miguel Hidalgo Avenue confirming the report of a man’s body without a head.
While police were on scene, another call was made reporting the discovery of a head without a body. The head, which belonged to the man laying on the street, was found several blocks away on Leona Vicario Avenue.
Officers responding to that report located the man’s head inside a garbage container.
Both crime scene locations were cordoned off by authorities while they collected evidence and the body. Police have not commented on the finding.
